Vibe Magazine got some exclusive details of what Lil’ Wayne’s life will be like while serving his jail time on New York’s Rikers Island, they even found out he had meatloaf this yesterday afternoon with mashed potatoes. Here’s the intel:

Sources tell VIBE that contrary to some reports, Lil Wayne’s attorney requested protective custody for the rapper. However, there is technically no such thing at Rikers. In order to accommodate Weezy, he will be housed in general population at the Eric M. Taylor Center alongside inmates with similar safety risks. He’ll be shadowed with an escort wherever he goes.

“If he leaves for a haircut, the law library or play in the yard he will be escorted by a captain with a panic button on his belt to call for back up if Wayne gets attacked,” says a Rikers Island insider.

Every hour, Wayne will have the option to roam the quarters with his escort in tow, or be securely locked in his cell. The corridor where he is housed is currently holding 18 other inmates with a day room with a TV on one end.

His cell is 10×6 and like all sentenced inmates he is required to wear a dark green work shirt, pants and slip on sneakers. All contact with the outside is limited to two phone calls a week, which will be recorded, and two visits with up to three people at a time.

With the addition of Cory Gunz to the stable, it has been reported that rapper B.G. has returned home and signed back with Cash Money Records.

Although money troubles in the past caused a rift in the business and personal relationship between the rapper and Birdman, it looks like the time away has allowed B.G. to get his business mentality up to par to ensure that what happened to him before won’t happen again.

It feels like the Hot Boyz reunion is coming a lot closer as days progress.

Corey Haim, well known child actor died early this morning in Los Angeles.

Police said Corey Haim, 38, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank, California, where he was pronounced dead at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday (6:30 a.m. ET), police Sgt. Frank Albarran told CNN. The death appears to be accidental, possibly an overdose, Albarran said.

Corey Haim,  starred in 7 movies , including The Lost Boys. He struggled with addiction for most of his life.

Actress Lindsay Lohan is suing the financial company E*Trade for 100 million dollars claiming a commercial about a “milkaholic” baby named Lindsay is based on her. I wonder how far this one will go.

Mavado is no longer signed to VP Records. Music Media understands that the deal has been terminated. The deejay’s manager made the announcement via Twitter. What next major label will sign him next, while he is still hot?

A representative from D’Angelo’s camp issued a statement regarding his arrest this past weekend:

“We know there is a lot of speculation in regard to the arrest of D’Angelo in New York City this past weekend. We would like his fans and the public at large to know that D’Angelo has plead not guilty — and is contesting the allegations made against him. Also know that he is in good health and extremely excited about his forthcoming new album. A battalion of armed cops swarmed the studio in which major dance hall act Vybz Kartel and his Portmore Empire operates on a daily basis. It has been reported that atleast 5 men have been held and taken to the station for questioning. Popcaan, a quick rising act out of the empire was also taken by the police to the Half Way Tree police station for questioning. Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) did not immediately turn up any additional information.

Keyshia Cole was in labor all day yesterday, UsWeekly confirms:

The singer, 28, tells UsMagazine.com exclusively that she and Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson “are proud to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr.” It’s the first child for the R&B star.

The couple’s son was born Tuesday at 11:54 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. “Both mother and baby are doing great,” she adds.

“The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time. Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist.”
